Saltworks Celebrates Earth Day with Minister Virk

Saltworks’ team celebrated Earth Day 2016 at their new production facility in Richmond, BC accompanied by Honourable Amirk Virk Minister of Technology, Innovation & Citizens’ Services.

Saltworks was also honoured to host representatives from the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines, the BC Innovation Council (BCIC), the National Research Council’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP), and Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) for the event.

 

The new SaltMaker factory, termed “F4” by Saltworks’ team, is Saltworks’ second production factory.

Saltworks’ other facilities include an ElectroChem and membrane production factory in East Vancouver and an R&D workshop in the Port of Vancouver.

 

Minister Virk later tweeted (@amirkvirkbc) about how Saltworks’ cleantech success story is making a global difference. The Earth Day event celebrated sustainable technological solutions to major challenges.
